The little buggers are now certified escape artists. They have figured out how to escape from their crate from the inside.
This is not a particularly great turn of events. If they have the run of the house without me around, they pee on things. So I always put them in the crate, and latch it, when I'm away. They stay in it while I'm at work. Which would seem to a person to be unpleasant; but they actually love the crate-- it's their little hangout, and they hang out in it frequently of their own volition. Whenever I put them in the crate, they see me grab a small treat and they sprint into the crate to get it. If I even clink the treat jar, they run in the crate.
But in the past two days, they've escaped from the crate three times, even after I've checked that it is securely latched. I've come home to find them running around the house. So far, they haven't peed on anything.
That I've noticed, anyway.
I'm pondering solutions to this little problem. It will likely involve cable ties or velcro strips.
They're lucky they're so cute. Weasels.

Man, that is a mystery. They must have figured out how to push the latch. Smart!
Yes, I'd suggest velcro or cable ties.
